Our work with Tane Ora and Te Rau Ora has empowered our tāne to reconnect with their roots. From diving and fishing expeditions to preparing hāngī meals, these activities have provided not just sustenance but also a deepened sense of identity and purpose.

Matariki events this year were more than just a celebration; they were a time to reflect on our achievements and renew our commitment to the future. The gatherings brought whānau together, whether it was for a wedding, workshops, or wānanga for maara kai, strengthening the bonds that tie us to each other and to our environment.

Our school visits and business hui have sown seeds of knowledge and innovation. The workshops and wānanga held at PukeAute Papakāinga have not only promoted maara kai but also positioned our community as a natural hub for innovation and climate change solutions in rural Aotearoa. The Poukawa 3030 hui stands as a testament to our commitment to sustainable development.
Pioneering Indigenous Housing: A New Chapter
We are incredibly proud to have launched the first Indigenous housing project, providing homes for 120 whānau. This initiative marks a significant step towards self-sufficiency and resilience, ensuring that our people have a place to call home in a way that honors our traditions and values.

Another highlight is the launch of our first podcast, capturing the voices of our community and sharing our stories with the world. Through this platform, we aim to amplify the experiences and wisdom of our people, creating a space where Māori voices are heard and valued.
